Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Petzio, a software service operated by Maytham Ajam (“Petzio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing Petzio, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Petzio Does
Petzio provides communication software for pet boarding facilities, pet hotels, kennels, dog daycares, and similar businesses. Petzio helps facilities manage owner update requests and send photo, video, and note updates to pet owners.
Petzio is only a communication tool. Petzio does not provide pet care, veterinary care, boarding services, emergency services, medical advice, or safety supervision.
2. Business Customers and Pet Owners
Only businesses and facilities may create Petzio accounts.
Pet owners may access update links, owner portals, or other limited pages provided by a facility. Pet owners do not create full business accounts unless separately authorized by Petzio.
Facilities are responsible for the pet owners, staff members, pets, and content connected to their account.
3. Account Eligibility
To create or use a Petzio business account, you must be at least 18 years old and authorized to create an account on behalf of the business or facility you represent.
You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
Petzio requires an active paid subscription. There is no free plan and no free trial unless we separately state otherwise.
Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually depending on the plan selected at checkout or in the billing portal. Subscriptions renew according to the billing plan and settings selected at checkout or in the billing portal, unless canceled before the next billing period.
Customers may cancel anytime. If a customer cancels, they keep access until the end of the current paid billing period, then access ends unless they renew.
Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Customer Content
Customers may upload or submit pet owner information, pet names, photos, videos, notes, update requests, and related content (“Customer Content”).
Customers keep ownership of their Customer Content. By using Petzio, customers give Petzio permission to store, process, display, and transmit Customer Content as needed to provide the service.
Customers are responsible for having the necessary rights, permissions, and consents to upload, store, and share Customer Content through Petzio.
6. Facility Responsibilities
Facilities remain fully responsible for:
- pet care and supervision
- pet safety
- medical decisions
- emergency decisions
- the accuracy of updates sent to pet owners
- obtaining permission to upload and share pet owner information, pet names, photos, videos, and notes
- how staff members use Petzio
Petzio should not be used as the only method for urgent, emergency, medical, or safety-related communication.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Petzio to:
- violate any law or regulation
- upload content you do not have permission to use
- send misleading, harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- interfere with or disrupt the service
- attempt to access another customer’s account or data
- reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the service
- use Petzio in a way that harms Petzio, other customers, pet owners, or third parties
8. Service Availability
Petzio will try to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee that Petzio will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
We may update, modify, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
9. Changes to Features, Plans, or Pricing
Petzio may update features, plans, or pricing over time.
Price changes will not affect the current billing period and will apply at renewal or as otherwise stated at checkout or in the billing portal.
10. Suspension or Termination
Petzio may suspend or terminate access to the service for non-payment, abuse, illegal activity, misuse of the service, security concerns, or violation of these Terms.
Customers may cancel their subscription through the billing flow or by contacting support.
11. Data After Cancellation
Petzio may retain customer data for up to 30 days after cancellation, then may delete it.
Customers should export or save anything they need before access ends.
12. Petzio Intellectual Property
Petzio owns the service, website, software, branding, design, features, and related intellectual property.
These Terms do not give customers ownership of Petzio’s software, branding, or technology.
13. Customer Names and Logos
Petzio will only use a customer’s business name, logo, or branding as a public customer reference with the customer’s permission.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information. By using Petzio, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
15. Third-Party Services
Petzio may use third-party providers for hosting, payments, authentication, email, analytics, storage, and other services.
Petzio is not responsible for third-party services outside of our control.
16. Disclaimer
Petzio is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Petzio disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, availability, and non-infringement.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Petzio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Petzio’s total liability for any claim related to the service will be limited to the amount the customer paid to Petzio in the three months before the claim.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold Petzio harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your Customer Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Any disputes will be handled under Virginia law and in courts located in Virginia, unless the law requires otherwise.
20. Changes to These Terms
Petzio may update these Terms by posting the new version on the website. For major changes, Petzio may also notify customers by email or inside the app.
Your continued use of Petzio after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
